- Perform a broad range of complex paralegal duties requiring a thorough working knowledge of the legal system, legal research methodologies, and relevant sources of information.
- Provide comprehensive litigation support to Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) throughout all phases of litigation.
- Work closely with assigned AUSAs during case progression, providing substantive and administrative support.
- Organize and manage documents and data gathered during investigations and litigation, maintain proper chain of custody, and ensure integrity and accessibility of case materials.
- Assist attorneys in evaluating complaints and referrals involving potential unlawful conduct, conduct research related to investigative targets and unlawful schemes, and prepare summaries of relevant legal authorities.
- Review, annotate, and summarize transcripts and other factual materials; obtain financial, statistical, agency, court, and other public records; draft data and document requests, research reports, memoranda, correspondence, and pleadings; cite-check and proofread legal filings; and electronically file pleadings and other court documents. Paralegals may attend witness interviews and prepare interview reports.
- In preparation for trial, attend pre-trial meetings, organize and review exhibits and case materials for accuracy, identify deficiencies, and coordinate collection of supplemental information. During and after trial, support the trial team with organizational and administrative tasks, including preparing summaries of testimony and depositions.
- Provide case management support using Case View to open, close, and update cases; use Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other applications to prepare documents, charts, and visual presentations for meetings, briefs, and trial proceedings.
- Must have a law degree.
- Three to five years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects, including pre-trial and trial support; strong communication skills to interact with clients and attorneys.
- Demonstrated proficiency with electronic litigation support databases (e.g., Case View, Relativity, Eclipse, or similar systems).
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of documents and discovery materials with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US citizenship required).
- Provide a variety of paralegal services to assist AUSAs, including but not limited to information gathering, research using electronic resources, reviewing materials, and drafting documents for review by the AUSA, among other duties.

Pay RangeThe proposed salary range for this position is: $64,700 - $135,700. CACI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
