Business Analyst

Genesis
10 is currently seeking a Business Analyst for a contract position with a Financial Services Organization located in St. Paul, MN. This is a 5+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $65.00 - 75.00 per hour, W2

Summary:
This position is part of a program to modernize existing loan servicing and loan accounting systems. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for a custom application centered around money movement.

Responsibilities:

• Research and capture requirements for User Stories
• Conduct discovery interviews, including producing artifacts such as meeting notes, and action items
• Utilize documents and documentation as primary communication mechanisms internally and with customers
• Write acceptance criteria
• Facilitate story discussions in internal team meetings as needed
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standup, demos, etc.)
• Review and respond to functional and user test findings, evaluate and assess changes required and track associated stories and bugs
• QA test, as needed, in preparation of moving to UAT

Requirements:

• Understanding of accounting principles and practices, especially as it pertains to money movement and transactions

• Prior experience as a Business Analyst
• Creation and/or documentation of agenda minutes, action items, decisions, etc
• Understanding of Agile (SCRUM) practices
• Story writing in Agile formats
• Previously run or contributed to discovery interviews
• Prior use of Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
• Good communicator, both written and verbal
• Well organized
• Attention to detail

Desired skills:

• Experience in banking or similar lending institutions
• Experience working with a decision log
• Previous work in Financial Services or Farm Credit
• Experience with upgrades or migrations of ERP financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Infor, SAP)
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis
