POSITION

DESCRIPTION

The Desktop Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's desktop computing environment. This role involves administering Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable deployment, management, and monitoring of endpoints. The Desktop Administrator will work closely with the Manager of Helpdesk & IT Operations, IT teams and business users, to provide high-quality desktop experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years of equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure in a hybrid environment including configuring and maintaining software deployment in a Microsoft environment, troubleshooting performance, connectivity and security issues across organizational equipment, and collaboration with IT infrastructure, networkipada security and non-IT personnel.
Preferred:
  • 3+ years of experience supporting IT infrastructure in a hybrid environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with Power Shell scripting or other automation tools.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting hybrid environments (on‑prem and cloud).
  • 2+ years of experience in supporting best practices for endpoint encryption and mobile device management.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS System Configuration & Installation:
  • Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft SCCM for software deployment, patch management, and OS imaging.
  • Administer Microsoft Intune for mobile device management, application deployment, compliance policies, and endpoint security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot endpoint performance, connectivity, and security issues across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with creating & maintaining desktop images, applications, and configuration baselines.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure, network, and security teams to ensure seamless endpoint integration and support.
  • Perform regular system updates, security patches, and software upgrades using SCCM and Intune.
  • Provide technical support and escalation assistance to कार्यक्रममा helpdesk and end-users as needed.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and reports.
  • Participate in IT projects, technology upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support:
  • Assist with Service Desk application in managing customer assistance requests.
  • Efficiently evaluate and resolve client-side software and hardware issues.
  • Provide leadership in resolving Severity 2 and 3 issues.
  • Appropriately involve other team members to assist with resolution of complex orithiau business‑critical problems.
  • Effectively and respectfully communicate with non‑technical terms to customers.
  • Understand and help to manage the print environment including office, jobsite and large‑format print solutions.
  • Mentor other team members in specific knowledge of processes and applications.
  • Knowledge transfer to other team members.
  • Provide process documentation related to systems and applications.
  • Identify and establish key metrics for the client-side environment.
Other Duties:
  • Actively contribute as a member of the IT/IS team, collaborating to support shared goals and objectives.
  • Represent McGough professionally at all events, upholding company standards and serving as a positive ambassador.
