MMCAP is a national cooperative group purchasing organization (GPO) for government healthcare facilities. MMCAP was established in 1985 and has over 50,000 member facilities across all 50 states. MMCAP's primary function is to provide a full range of pharmaceuticals and other healthcare products and services to its participating facilities.
MMCAP is operated within the State of Minnesota, Office of State Procurement (OSP). The mission of MMCAP is to ensure best value for pharmaceuticals and healthcare products and services to government facilities across the nation through executing contracts that leverage aggregated member volume to drive deeper discounts. In this position, you will provide lead technical support to the Knowledge and Financial Management (KFM) Team. You will coordinate data set exchanges; facilitate communication between MMCAP, vendors, and stakeholders; perform quality assurance to identify process gaps and ensure data integrity; and translate data needs into system requirements by creating technical documentation.
This position is eligible for up to a 50% hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework arrangement, additional onsite attendance may be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required. Minimum Qualifications- Two (2) years of experience performing relational database work, which may include, but is not limited to, database planning and designing, quality assurance/data integrity, data analysis, and database software tools and business intelligence.
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science/management, information science, business, economics, mathematics, or a closely related field of study may be substituted for one (1) year of experience as described.
- An Associate’s degree as specified may be substituted for six (6) months of experience as described.
- Technical skills and experience using database query tools and building custom SQL queries.
- Experience and demonstrated quality assurance testing methodologies.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite with special emphasis on data analysis, data reporting, data visualization, project management, and training.
- Ability to develop procedural documentation, creating user manuals, or other related technical writing.
- Ability to understand the impacts of system changes on a wide range of users.
- Strong interpersonal and human relations skills to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science/management, information science, business, economics, mathematics, or a closely related field of study.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite that includes, but is not limited to, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Access, Schedule, Outlook, and SharePoint.
