About the Job:

Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to support a growing, employee-owned organization operating in a technical, professional services environment. The company partners with clients across a range of complex, project-based work, providing specialized expertise that supports infrastructure, operations, and long-term business performance. With steady growth and a strong emphasis on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement, this is an organization where people and quality truly matter.

In this role, the Senior HRBP serves as a trusted partner to business leaders, supporting talent initiatives, employee relations, compensation guidance, and organizational effectiveness. This is a visible, hands-on role well suited for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with leadership, balancing day-to-day people support with strategic initiatives, data-driven insights, and change management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary HR partner to assigned business leaders, aligning HR strategies with business objectives
  • Support talent management initiatives including workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development
  • Coach leaders on performance management, team dynamics, engagement, and change management
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations and fair, timely conflict resolution
  • Lead cyclical HR programs such as performance reviews, compensation actions, engagement surveys, and workforce planning
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with compensation leaders to support external competitiveness and internal equity
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition) to ensure consistent execution of HR programs
  • Serve as a thought partner during reorganizations, leadership transitions, and cultural initiatives
  • Conduct exit interviews, assess turnover trends, and recommend retention strategies
  • Mentor and support Associate HRBPs or HR team members as needed

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in an HR Business Partner or Generalist role
  • Demonstrated success advising leaders and managing complex employee relations matters
  • Strong working knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, and compliance
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP experience preferred), reporting, and analytics
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities

Preferred

Skills:

  • Experience in consulting, engineering, or professional services environments
  • Ownership of HR programs such as performance management, benefits, or engagement initiatives
  • Experience supporting organizational change, growth, or restructuring
  • Advanced Excel or reporting skills and the ability to translate data into insights
  • Comprehensive health and insurance benefits
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • Long-term savings programs
  • Generous paid time off
