Position: Human Resources Assistant (Part Time)

Advent Talent Group is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support for the efficient operation of the HR department at a mission-driven organization. This role involves managing day-to-day HR functions, maintaining accurate records, responding to employee and applicant inquiries, and assisting with hiring and onboarding processes.

Position Overview
  • Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
  • Schedule: Part-time | 20 hours per week | Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM/10:00 AM – 2:00 PM/3:00 PM
  • Location: On-site in St. Paul
Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day HR operations, including responding to general inquiries and escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee records; conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance.
  • Provide administrative support for recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, interview scheduling, background checks, and employment documentation.
  • Manage HR systems and records (electronic and paper), track personnel data, and process invoices in accordance with policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and benefits providers; assist with benefits enrollment and HR-related events.
  • Monitor HR inboxes and calendars, ensuring timely responses and task completion.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience; HR-related degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and recordkeeping; experience with HRIS (UKG preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to generate and analyze HR data and reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential information, work independently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
