What You’ll Do Strategic HR Support
  • Help define and optimize scalable, human‑centered HR processes across business units.
  • Manage organizational compensation structure & plan; review, maintain, and recommend changes to ensure competitiveness and consistency.
  • Inform HR priorities; evaluate demand for new or adjusted HR offerings from business or trends.
  • Understand external trends in the marketplace and make recommendations on how those could affect internal employees.
Payroll & Compliance
  • Act as lead payroll administrator with ADP comprehensive services processing payroll and off‑cycle needs.
  • Serve as point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Serve as point of contact for timesheet and paid time off inquiries.
  • Administrate the PTO Exchange.
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute payroll reports while maintaining clear records of adjustments and pending changes.
  • Support internal and external audits such as worker compensation, 401(k) plan, financial audits, and grant‑related reviews.
  • Serve as plan administrator for the 401(k) plan.
  • Responsible for implementation of annual State and Federal affirmative action plans.
  • Administrator for the UST Unemployment Trust account.
  • Lead compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day‑to‑day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Support the team with benefit administration.
  • Collaborate to ensure HR related information, updates, policies and changes are effectively communicated to the PF & QF team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Knowledge of compensation plans and structures.
  • Able to display confidentiality.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and ADP comprehensive services.
  • Knowledge of multiple state family leave and sick laws.
  • Knowledge of COBRA.
  • Knowledge of SOC codes and state and federal affirmative action plans.
  • Familiar with current federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Applies sound judgment and creative problem‑solving skills to complex problems and organizational challenges.
  • Strong ability and experience supervising, coaching, mentoring, and directing others; demonstrated skills in managing people and tasks.
  • Experience advising senior business leaders across distributed teams or regional locations.
  • Strong judgment, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trust across leadership styles.
  • Knowledge of multi‑state tax jurisdictions a plus.
  • Strong tactical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and excited by a “build while driving” environment.
  • SHRM‑CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of conservation and related industry, with a passion for wildlife conservation and outdoors is preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Operating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday.
