Cardiology Technician- St John's

Overview

We at Fairview Health Services are looking for a cardiology technician to join our team at our St John s Hospital in Maplewood, MN.

The Cardiology Technician is responsible for providing diagnostic testing inpatients and outpatients. This includes 12-Lead ECGs, Holter, Event and BP monitor application. The Cardiology Technician will perform various duties assigned by the supervisor, including, but not limited to, retrieval of supplies for/from different units, and retrieval/restocking of linen.

This position will be working 0.80 FTE (64 hours every two weeks). The shift will be 8 hour nights shift from 10:30pm-7am. This position follows a Thursday through Sunday block schedule of four consecutive nights on and three nights off. Employees are required to work scheduled shifts that fall on holidays, with holiday pay provided in accordance with policy.

• Performing ECGs, and application of stress and Holter, Event, and BP monitor.
• Preparing patients for examinations and explaining procedures to patients.
• Performing all file maintenance activities related to the tests including filing, copying, faxing, and file pulling.
• Maintaining all testing equipment.
• Troubleshooting of equipment issues and conducting preventative maintenance checks.
• Initiating service calls on equipment not working.
• In the absence of stress testing and supervise application, the Cardiology Technician will perform various duties assigned by the nursing supervisor (ANS).
• Other duties, as assigned

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 0-2 years EKG or patient care experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree
• Completion of accredited cardiac technician program or equivalent clinical experience
• 2-4 years of EKG or patient care experience

An individual s pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
