Salary Range: $53,000 - $57,000 annually
Position DescriptionA Mobile Services Program Manager provides management of mobile distribution services (Food mobile, Grocery Delivery, and community food distributions) within the Basic Needs program, often working independently.
This position supervises direct service staff and assists with program services as needed.
This position also oversees program operations, maintains program records and dataset, creates and expands opportunities for community engagement and maintain relationships with community partners.
This position may require working an occasional Wednesday Evening shift from 10am - 6:30pm for Community Food Center service coverage.
Essential Functions50% Program management
- Maintain quality services for participants, including product procurement, food safety, nutrition, cultural relevance, and client experience.
- Coordinate distribution events.
- Actively seek opportunities for improvement and recommend changes as needed to program director.
- Schedule mobile service staff and fill service gaps when necessary.
- Regularly drive a large vehicle.
- Submit monthly reports.
- Expand the number of mobile distribution sites in Keystone service area, following program expansion strategy.
- Maintain relationships with community distribution partners, including regular communication.
- Hire, train, and supervise Food mobile Coordinators.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback, coaching, and discipline when needed.
- Create and maintain training materials.
- Perform staff administrative activities.
- Communicate agency policies and procedures.
- Enter participant and service information into database.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry.
- Monitor Mobile Team and intern data quality.
- Train staff and interns on data entry.
- Follow safety protocols while operating agency vehicles.
- Manage day-to-day Food mobile vehicle maintenance (i.e. gas, mileage).
- Work with Food Rescue Driver, Facilities Manager and Basic Needs Director to maintain vehicles (i.e. oil changes, and other preventative servicing).
- Work with team to ensure safe departure, arrival and parking of agency vehicles.
- Train staff in vehicle operations and safety.
- Serves as primary back up for Food Rescue Driver. (Work hours may vary with these duties)
- Other tasks as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
- Three years of experience in a progressive position increasing responsibility.
- A valid MN Driver’s License and current insurance.
- MN DOT medical card or and Food Manager Certification. Candidate hired may also obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Experience interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with community partners in gathering community resources.
- Previous database management experience.
Physical Requirements
- Being able to lift 50lbs from floor to shoulder height and to bend and twist while lifting.
