Position: Behavioral Health Technician (Full-time, Evening)

Position Overview

Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT’s) monitor and assist adolescent clients in the residential milieu, lead activities designed to help the residents adjust to living in a community setting and assist the residents in gaining the skills needed to manage their eating disorder. BHT’s play an integral role in the day‑to‑day function of the clients’ experience.

Schedule
  • Full Time 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) Evening/Overnight
  • Evening

    Shifts:

    2 pm-10:30 pm, 4 pm-12:30 am
  • Overnight

    Shifts:

    10 pm-6:30 am (Will be trained in nights to support as needed)
  • Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Schedule is made a month at a time with majority of scheduling being evening shifts & overnight shifts as needed
Compensation Disclosure
  • BHT I:
    Starting hourly range between $18.00-$21.00

Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position

How BHT’s Empower Recovery
  • Partners with the multi‑disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming
  • Participates in therapeutic meals and snacks and provides support during structured outings and recreation
  • Available to engage, challenge, and support residents as needed. Reports observations and documents in charts
  • Monitors and supports bathroom use per client treatment direction. Monitors and documents exercise
  • Responsible for enforcing appropriate policies with residents and completing all expected tasks including hourly room‑checks
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required with one year of mental health experience or
  • Bachelors degree in mental health field with 0-1 year of experience
  • Must have valid driver's license and be authorized to drive
