What is Brief In-Home stabilization therapy?
During this 8 to 12 week acute mental health therapy, Washburn Center’s caring staff offers therapeutic services, skill-building, case management and parenting support, with a 24-hour on call service. Therapists collaborate with a child’s teachers and social workers to identify needs and develop strategies for increased stability. Our crisis stabilization therapists have tele-therapy appointments available to give families quick access to compassionate crisis support.
The comprehensive support provided through the Crisis Stabilization program is designed to help children, ages 3 through 17, with acute mental health distress, stay in their home and avoid psychiatric hospitalization or other out-of-home placements.
