Behavioral Health Technician Evening​/Overnight

Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) monitor and assist adolescent clients in the residential milieu, lead activities designed to help the residents adjust to living in a community setting, and assist the residents in gaining the skills needed to manage their eating disorder. BHTs play an integral role in the day‑to‑day function of the clients’ experience.

• Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)
• Schedule is made a month at a time with a combination of both evening and overnight shifts

• Starting hourly range $18.00–$21.00

Final compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position.

• Partner with the multi‑disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions and supporting or assisting clients in programming
• Participate in therapeutic meals and snacks and provide support during structured outings and recreation
• Available to engage, challenge, and support residents as needed; report observations and document in charts
• Monitor and support bathroom use per client treatment direction; monitor and document exercise
• Responsible for enforcing appropriate policies with residents and completing all expected tasks including hourly room‑checks

• Associate’s degree in a mental health–related field (e.g., mental or behavioral health, counseling, behavioral sciences) or
• A high school diploma and at least one year or 2,000 hours of direct patient care experience in a mental or behavioral health setting

• Entry‑level position; 6+ months of direct client care or milieu experience in a mental/behavioral health or healthcare setting, particularly with eating disorders, is preferred
• Completion of Preceptor Program preferred

• Valid driver’s license and authorized to drive (Residential or Inpatient sites)
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire (Residential or Inpatient sites)
• First Aid certification within 30 days of hire (Residential or Inpatient sites)
• CPI certification within 30 days of hire (Residential sites in North Carolina or Georgia)
• Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit within 30 days of hire (Residential site in Washington)
