Responsibilities
  • Provide direct therapy to a team of 4–6 clients following client treatment plans, ensuring goals and objectives are met.
  • Document therapy services accurately and timely (e.g., daily treatment notes, data collection, reporting parent and Partners In Excellence communications, and client information).
  • Read written treatment directions, collect numeric data, and write progress notes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and adhere to Partners’ Privacy Policies and Procedures.
  • Complete required technical training and participate in ongoing training opportunities.
  • Redirect, intervene, observe, and monitor client behaviors.
  • Problem‑solve, make appropriate decisions, and use good judgment when dealing with clients, parents, and co‑workers.
  • Work with a team and accept corrective feedback, complying with supervisory direction.
  • Communicate daily progress and client concerns to the appropriate staff members.
  • Organize, clean clients’ space and equipment, and assist in keeping the facility safe, organized, sanitary, and guide others to do the same.
  • Assist clients with personal care including dressing, toileting, personal hygiene, food, nutrition, and diet needs.
  • Lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and report all safety concerns to the Center Manager or direct supervisor.
  • Assist in keeping the facility safe, organized, sanitary, and guide others to do the same.
  • The BT is assigned to an area or areas (i.e., POD) at the Partners in Excellence center‑based programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands

This role is largely active, requiring interaction with children and adults throughout the day. Employees will use computer equipment for extended periods of time and must be able to talk, hear, and see (close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus adjustment). Reasonable accommodations may be made.

Additional Physical Demands
  • Lift/carry/hold up to 25–50 pounds.
  • Push/pull up to 25–50 pounds.
  • Perform shoulder movements such as reaching above, wiping tables, sweeping/mopping.
  • Use OSHA‑approved step stool/ladder as needed.
  • Walk, run, squat, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl.
  • Move quickly with assigned client.
  • Finger and hand grasping/squeezing.
Qualifications – Required
  • High School diploma.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Successfully passed an initial and subsequent background checks (no history of felonies, substantiated client maltreatment or vulnerable adult incidents, or disqualifying misdemeanors).
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Previous behavioral therapy experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of teaching procedures associated with Verbal Behavior Therapy.
  • General knowledge of typical and special needs clients.
