While no two days are exactly the same, here are some things you will be responsible for:

• Performing personal care tasks, including feeding, ambulation, and medical monitoring
• Assist with fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates
• Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment
• Encouraging self-help activities
• Accompanying clients to scheduled appointments

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work in a group home, home-like setting
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external

Our crisis homes provide support and supervision to persons served with disabilities and/or mental illness that need crisis intervention services and/or behavioral programs to rehabilitate/stabilize and transition persons served back to permanent housing.

• Staff are required to have 3 years experience working with individuals with severe mental illness, crisis, physical interventions, and behavior supports.
• Staff must be well trained and have at least 3 years experience in using positive redirection and behavior modification programs.
• The role of staff is to maintain safety and to support persons served to allow them to be the best they can be, individually and/or within the community.
• Implement formal/informal crisis plans, program plans and/or behavioral objectives using person-centered planning.
• Maintain documentation, record keeping and participate in regular meetings and complete required training.
• Take initiative when responding to a crisis, monitor the safety of persons served, and provide support and supervision in a positive therapeutic manner.
• Enable persons served to make choices in all areas of their lives.
• Provide transportation for appointments and activities.
