This position collaborates with State agencies to continue this transformative work by coordinating their AA Plans, various equal employment opportunity (EEO) reports, and C700 participation.
The position works in the Equal Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Unit of the Enterprise Employee Resources Team at Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB).
- Guide agencies in AA planning to identify underutilizations and establish goals;
- Review agencies’ AA Plans for conformance with the AA Program;
- Determine applications, issue disqualification notices or eligibility certificates, and monitor participant qualification and review forms in the C700 Program;
- Give input and feedback to agencies on their Monitoring the Hiring Process (MHP) Quarterly Reports, Internal Complaint Disposition Reports, Annual Internal Complaint Reports, Annual Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Reports, and Veteran Recruitment and Retention Reports;
- Provide materials, templates, assistance, and training to agencies for their administration of the programs and submission of their reports; and
- Collect records for information requests and workforce reports.
- Three years professional work in AA, ADA, EEO, or Human Resources (HR).
- Knowledge of federal and state AA, ADA, and EEO law.
- Experience in reviewing AA Plans.
- Experience in compiling data and drawing conclusions to spot trends.
- Experience in updating Program content and tracking Program procedures.
- Experience in conveying direction and instruction and in producing and presenting training.
- Experience in finding answers and in relaying information to others.
- Interpersonal skills to work with diverse individuals and groups of different interests on various issues.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and the internet to edit, format, and accessibilize electronic information; deliver and display data; and communicate with customers.
- Math skills sufficient to compose formulas and analyze statistics.
- Experience in addressing ADA workplace issues.
- Familiarity with accessible formats, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology.
- Experience with Snap Survey
MMB will conduct reference checks to verify job-related credentials and a criminal background check prior to appointment.
