Saint Paul Public Libraries is currently hiring a Library Safety Specialist! This is an exciting opportunity to build partnerships with the community and contribute to a safety culture within our public spaces.
Here is what you can expect to do:- Contribute to the safe and welcoming environment by providing a supportive presence to staff and patrons.
- Engage in the library community and build relationships with patrons.
- Respond to behaviors against library policy and help de-escalate elevated behaviors.
- Provide technical expertise in emergency response and be prepared to help lead building in crisis and emergency management.
- Communicate and enforce the library conduct policy and assist other staff in enforcing it.
- Serve as the lead for handling crisis and emergency situations; understands, reviews, and instructs others in building emergency management plans.
