Under limited supervision, this position provides advanced legislative coordination and consultation, supporting agency-wide legislative initiatives with significant independence. This position is responsible for analyzing, monitoring and administering state programs requiring a comprehensive understanding of all procedural and administrative guidelines. General and technical guidance may be received from a higher-level State Program Administrator or other administrative employee; performs other duties as required.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate legislative proposal development, technical assistance requests and agency responses, and fiscal note preparation, and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Facilitate communication between agency leadership and legislative bodies.
  • Manage legislative training and informational sessions.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform legislative strategy.
  • Manage online technology solutions for the Government Relations Team.
  • Monitor legislative hearings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of experience in a position supporting or engaging in legislative advocacy or policy development at the state, local, or federal level
