Accounts Payable Manager | Enterprise Shared Services Operations
Salary: $115,000 – $140,000 base + bonus

This is a high-impact leadership role within a large, complex enterprise shared services organization supporting thousands of employees nationwide. You’ll lead both invoice processing and corporate card programs while partnering with senior leadership on automation, compliance, and long-term process improvements. The position offers strong visibility, ownership of critical financial operations, and clear career progression within a supportive, people‑first culture that emphasizes servant leadership and team development.
Key Responsibilities For The Accounts Payable Manager- Lead and develop a team of 7 professionals across invoice processing and corporate card administration
- Oversee daily accounts payable operations, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and KPI attainment
- Manage high-volume invoice processing across multiple ERP systems, with a focus on scalability and automation
- Drive strategic initiatives to reduce manual processes and implement systematic, technology-enabled solutions
- Administer enterprise Travel & Expense and Procurement Card programs, including banking relationships, contracts, policies, and compliance
- Monitor program fees, rebates, and spending activity; provide budgeting, forecasting, and detailed financial analytics
- Partner with sourcing, disbursements, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes and resolve issues
- Lead policy compliance and sensitive escalations with employees, managers, HR, and leadership
- Perform period-end financial analysis including cost center results (actual vs. budget vs. prior year), labor/expense variances, and headcount trends
- Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reporting
- Conduct data analysis and investigations related to card activity and risk management
- Provide hands‑on support in a working manager capacity while coaching and mentoring the team
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture grounded in accountability and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience leading accounts payable or shared services financial operations teams
- Proven leadership experience managing direct reports in high-volume, service-oriented environments
- Strong background in corporate card, T&E, or procurement card program management and compliance
- Experience handling policy enforcement, escalations, and risk mitigation situations
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial/operational analytics capabilities
- Comfort working across multiple systems and complex Procure-to-Pay ecosystems
- Ability to prioritize effectively and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to operate in a hands‑on leadership role with fluctuating workload demands
- Reports directly to senior shared services leadership
- Oversees 7 direct reports across AP and card operations
- Emphasis on servant leadership, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Clear path for advancement within the shared services leadership structure
