Based out of St. Louis, MO, Milwaukee, WI, or Detroit, MI, you’ll assist a team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget for world class projects. You’ll work with a knowledgeable and supportive group of professional staff as you plan and execute field activities including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and remediation system maintenance;
prepare scopes of work for subcontracts, conduct data analysis on field and laboratory data sets, and create technical reports documenting completed activities and results. Estimated time spent doing field work is approximately 85%, with some of that being out‑of‑town travel. When not traveling, you will work with team members within your assigned office.

Here’s what you’ll need- In pursuit of a Bachelors or Masters degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or closely related field
- Must be at least a rising Junior
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Willingness to perform field work and travel
- United States Citizenship
- Driver’s License Required
- Ability to work from one of the approved locations (St. Louis, MO, Milwaukee, WI, Detroit, MI)
- 3.0 GPA
- A previous internship related to your field of study
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
- Self‑driven time management and organizational skills
- Ability to obtain 40‑hour hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) training and current 8‑hour HAZWOPER refresher class

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
