Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist responsible for promoting EHS stewardship while providing guidance and support to designated sites. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, fostering a culture of safety and environmental protection, and developing programs, policies, and training materials.
Responsibilities- Promote EHS ownership and accountability for worker safety and environmental protection.
- Inspect and provide EHS guidance and support to designated sites.
- Ensure company compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local EHS regulations.
- Develop and implement EHS programs, policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Coordinate and provide EHS-related training to managers and associates as needed.
- Assist in the progressive improvement of sites within the Heraeus Development Path 2.0.
- Support the implementation of safety and health initiatives and required documentation.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with the EHS Manager and other stakeholders.
- Prepare written reports on inspections, accident investigations, and statistical information.
- Assist in managing Worker’s Compensation Claims for U.S. sites.
- Analyze EHS data to support performance improvement.
- Contribute to the development of trend analyses and metrics reports to reduce injury rates.
- Review current literature and regulations to stay informed on OSHA and EHS standards.
- Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the EHS Manager or company.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook and Excel.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and EHS standards.

Work EnvironmentWork independently with minimal supervision. Engage with site managers, department managers, supervisors, and coworkers in a collaborative environment. Adhere to company policies and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
