JBAndrews is currently working exclusively on behalf of a leading global nutrition company who are seeking to hire a Director of Engineering. The company offers industry-leading functional ingredients used in various applications including snacks, dairy products and health & wellness products.
Position SummaryThis position will take ownership of the organization's engineering project portfolio, ensuring large‑scale investments are executed effectively and aligned with long‑term business goals. The Director of Engineering will guide cross‑functional teams, shape engineering standards, and play a key role in improving production reliability, efficiency, and technology across the network.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning and delivery of major capital and optimization projects, ensuring clear timelines, structured execution, and strong project discipline.
- Work closely with plant operations, leadership teams, and technical specialists to define project objectives and align engineering solutions with production needs.
- Oversee financial aspects of engineering initiatives
- Strengthen internal project management processes, tools, and reporting frameworks to support consistent, high‑quality delivery.
- Coordinate with procurement on equipment selection, vendor evaluation, and sourcing decisions to ensure operational and quality requirements are met.
- Maintain strong communication channels across teams, ensuring updates, risks, and progress are clearly shared with key stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement activities and contribute to business‑wide initiatives focused on performance, reliability, and best‑practice implementation.
- 10+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing with exposure to process, plant or facility management
- Background in dairy or food‑ingredient processing
- Solid experience delivering capital projects, managing vendors, and working with procurement teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate technical data and propose solutions that support operational goals.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across multiple levels of the business.
