The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs an Injection Molding Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Joining 3M’s Manufacturing Technology organization as a member of the Injection Molding team, where we seek to support development of products, processes, and technologies across the company as well as solve challenging manufacturing problems
- Providing engineering leadership to the Injection Molding pilot plant and advancing molding capabilities
- Working directly with the technician team to assist with process development and troubleshooting to ensure production runs and experiments are completed on time and yield positive results
- Working directly with internal customers to provide robust processes and products in support of New Product Introductions, product/process improvements, mold renewals, qualifications
- Driving improvements in EHS, quality, service, cost, and overall efficiencies in molding
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Supporting a dynamic operation through willingness to be on-call
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Currently possess or in the final year of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline (verified prior to start)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Previous coursework, internship, co-op, research, or industry experience in injection molding
- Experience with 3D computer-aided design (CAD)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability

The expected compensation range for this position is $98,413 - $120,282, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
