Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer I serves as a member of our production support team for complex electronic and software based medical devices. This role is part of the tactical and production line facing portion of the operations quality team and supports both the New Product Introduction (NPI) and commercial sides of the business. Routine activities include enabling production line compliance to quality system processes, implementation of corrective or continuous improvement actions, and execution of technical projects.
This position plays a critical role in incorporating quality into processes and ensuring alignment of the production floor to quality initiatives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide training and guidance to production lines for implementation of permanent or temporary changes.
- Support containment and disposition activities as directed.
- Consult with production lines and other floor personnel as needed to ensure clarity on inspection criteria and conformance decisions.
- Collaborate with a variety of engineering organizations as needed to facilitate communication to production lines and other floor personnel.
- Support continuous improvement projects as directed.
- Ensure quality related escalations from the production lines are made in a timely manner when required.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, technical, or scientific discipline.
- Experience in technical writing.
- High proficiency in use of standard electronic business tools:
Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio. - Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and instructions, interpret device and part specifications, and execute validation / qualification activities
- Passionate for change and continuous improvement and embodying a strong sense of urgency.

Compensation and Total Rewards PackageThe salary range for this position is outlined below under "Job Details" and is dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable employment laws.
