Overview
Project Manager Engineering (Public Works) at MSA Professional Services is seeking a candidate to manage civil engineering projects for municipal clients. This role will be based in either the Duluth, MN or St. Paul, MN office and is part of our Public Works Service line. The position is flex time eligible and offers hybrid/flexible working arrangements.
Responsibilities- Client relations including attendance at client meetings and interaction with existing and new clients
- Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting and QA/QC
- Design of public works infrastructure projects
- Assist with mentoring junior engineering staff
- Preparation of plans, details, specifications, and bidding documents
- Preparation of technical reports and regulatory permits for projects
- Administration of construction on public works infrastructure projects
Salary for this position ranges from $88,800 to $142,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related) required
- 5+ years of prior experience within the Public Works market serving multiple clients required
- PE license strongly preferred
- Experience in managing multiple projects and client needs required
- Experience with funding and grants available to municipalities preferred
