Hybrid Work Environment:
Tuesday - Thursday in office | Monday & Friday WFH. The role is based in Bloomington, Minnesota.
- Lead project teams as a project manager; mentor junior engineers; and work directly with clients on everything from preliminary design through construction.
- Address a variety of project types—from stormwater management and utility infrastructure to site design and corporate campus development.
- Collaborate with Market Managers to build client relationships while focusing on high-quality engineering and project leadership (seller-doer approach).
- Provide and lead QA/QC reviews for civil projects; coordinate with other disciplines during design and construction.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and manage permit applications (FEMA, DOT, DNR, and state/local entities).
- Apply AutoCAD Civil 3D for site designs; travel as needed for on-site consultations, project meetings, or business development and industry events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota
- Minimum of ten years of progressive technical design experience with site development projects
- Minimum of five years of progressive and successful experience managing projects; strong knowledge of the project development process
- Minimum of two years of business development experience with a track record of securing new project opportunities
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills for proposals, contracts, reports, meetings, and client presentations
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop less experienced professionals
- Experience providing QA/QC reviews for civil projects
- Experience with regulatory agencies and permit processes (FEMA, DOT, DNR, state/local)
- Experience and understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Active professional registration or ability to obtain registrations in additional states (preference for IL, WI, SD, IA)
- Prior management and site design experience for private commercial/industrial developers
- Prior management and site design experience for renewable energy infrastructure and facilities
