Quality Manager - Manufacturing | Mortenson
BLUvera is currently seeking a Quality Manager to oversee and enhance our quality systems for medium to large construction projects. This role involves leading and managing quality initiatives, documenting processes, monitoring performance, and analyzing results. The Quality Manager will also be responsible for implementing corrective and preventative actions to ensure continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Lead Mortenson’s quality system on medium to large projects
- Develop and implement a Quality Management Plan from start to finish
- Establish and lead quality control initiatives and corrective actions
- Review project plans for quality requirements before construction
- Manage quality events, punch list, and non‑conformance notices
- Oversee third‑party design and testing agencies
- Coach and mentor field and project engineers
- Train others on Kaizen event roles and visual management
- Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
- Minimum three years’ experience in the design, engineering, or construction industry leading a project’s quality system
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Primavera Unifier
- Positive and professional attitude with strong customer‑service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Knowledge of quality systems such as Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, Mortenson’s Quality System, continuous improvement, value streams, etc.
- Active listening skills and effective communication, openness to diverse input and feedback
- Ability to travel up to 75%

- Experience with issue management and inspection of work performed
- Completed training in basic project management and supervision
- Current driver’s license

The base pay range for this role is $97,600 – $146,400. Actual range is higher for the following office locations:
Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%;
Seattle, WA and Portland, OR – 10%;
Washington, D.C. – 12.5%. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
