- Teach curriculum of Independent School District 196 for the following classes:
- Emergency Medical Services Trimester 1
- Introduction to Law Enforcement Trimester 2
- Introduction to Fire Fighting Trimester 3
- Advanced Emergency Services Trimester 3
- Carry out responsibilities as defined by the master contract.
- Carry out responsibilities as defined by the principal.
- Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and parents.
- Licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach Emergency Medical Services with a license in Medical Careers (300300) or Emergency Medical Technician (070907) or eligible for a community expert variance.
- Certification to teach CPR.
- Has Emergency Medical Response Certification and is able to prepare learners for the Emergency Medical Response certification.
- Able to prepare learners for the EMT national certification exams.
- Able to teach an introductory course to learners about the science of fires and fire fighting.
- Able to teach an introductory course on public safety with respect to the security of one's home, workplace, and community.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Compensation / BenefitsAccording to contractual agreement. If benefit eligible, benefits are available to new employees effective the first day of active employment. About the DistrictDistrict 196 is a Minnesota public school district serving more than 29,000 students and 160,000 residents in the cities of Rosemount, Apple Valley, Eagan, Burnsville, Coates, Empire, Inver Grove Heights, Lakeville, and Vermillion Township.
