Community School of Excellence (CSE) is a PK–12 public charter school located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, serving a diverse, multilingual student population with a strong focus on academic growth, college and career readiness, and cultural identity. Through a Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), data‑informed instruction, and strong family partnerships, CSE works to ensure all students achieve high levels of academic success and personal development.
This is a full‑time, on‑site Teacher position based in Saint Paul, MN. The Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering standards‑aligned instruction, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture, and supporting the academic and social‑emotional growth of all students.
Core responsibilities include designing engaging lesson plans, implementing culturally responsive instructional strategies, monitoring student progress through formative and summative assessments, and differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including multilingual learners and students receiving special education services. The Teacher collaborates with grade‑level and content teams, participates in professional learning communities (PLCs), and contributes to school‑wide initiatives aligned to MTSS, curriculum coherence, and continuous improvement.

- Ability to use student data to inform instruction and support academic growth
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching practices
- Ability to contribute positively to a collaborative professional learning community
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required
- Valid Minnesota teaching license (or eligibility for licensure) preferred
- Experience working with multilingual learners and diverse student populations
- Familiarity with MTSS, differentiated instruction, and data‑driven decision‑making
- Experience in urban or charter school settings is a plus
