Early Childhood Center Assistant Director (Project Management)

The Early Childhood Center Assistant Director supports the Director in managing the daily operations of HaLev Early Childhood at the J. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care, while fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff. The Assistant Director helps lead staffing, licensing compliance, family communication, and curriculum support, and plays a key role in modeling and promoting the centers Jewish values and inclusive community culture.

• Support the Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations
• Maintain daily licensing compliance and ensure adherence to DHS regulations
• Assist in supervising and mentoring teaching staff, including onboarding, coaching, and performance support
• Model developmentally appropriate practices and provide curriculum guidance and classroom support
• Serve as a point of contact for families and help manage family communication and engagement
• Assist with enrollment processes, classroom transitions, and student records
• Help coordinate staff meetings, professional development, and special events
• Ensure classrooms and shared spaces are safe, clean, and welcoming
• Help manage scheduling and staffing logistics, including coverage plans
• Step in as acting Director in the Directors absence
• Perform other duties as assigned to support HaLev operations
