Saint Paul College seeks energetic and dedicated individuals to apply for an unlimited, full-time Machine Tool Technology/Machinist position. The instructor is responsible for all activities related to teaching and learning including, but not limited to instructional planning & curriculum development, teaching & learning, instructional facilitation, student evaluation, student records, student recruitment, retention and advising, student placement, classroom preparation and management, interpersonal relations, effective team member skills and duties, maintenance of professional skills and credentials.

Instructor is responsible for:

* Provide classroom instruction, evaluate and advise students.

* Develop and/or revise curriculum.

* Participate in department meetings, program advisory committee meetings, and college-wide events.

* Maintain technical knowledge in the field through active participation in professional development organizations and events.

* Promote and recruit programs within and outside of the College.

* Promote diversity and cultural competency.

* Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean or Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Required Qualifications

Education Requirement

* Post-secondary diploma or equivalent certificate in automotive services technology.

Occupational Experience Requirement

* Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in automotive service technology.

Recency Requirement

* One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post-secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Professional Requirement

* Current ASE certification in the areas in which the faculty member is teaching.

* Experience working in teams in a fast paced, interactive environment.

Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement
