FTE Status: Non-exempt Part-time, hours per agreement M-F daytime hours
Compensation Range: $22.00–$24.00 per hour

Position SummaryThis position supports the smooth implementation of JA’s Experiential Learning Center (ELC) programs with an emphasis on JA Finance Park and JA Dream Accelerator. The ELC coordinator ensures that the day-to-day activities in the learning labs are running effectively and supporting students as they learn how to manage their personal finances, balance wants and needs, make savings plans, and imagine their future careers.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Support JA Finance Park and Dream Accelerator simulations 2-3 days per week during the school year. Hours are subject to change based on availability during the summer months.
- Provide high quality customer support and create a positive experience for students, teachers, and volunteers in partnership with other JA North staff.
- Develop a deep understanding of JA Finance Park and Dream Accelerator learning goals and facilitation best practices to successfully answer questions and lead student/volunteer orientations.
- Solve common issues that arise during simulations, including navigating technology issues.
- Set up and reset the Learning lab after each school visit.
- Other projects as assigned.
- May be asked to travel within the Metro area to support off-site programs.
- Passionate about supporting young people.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when the need arises.
- Experience working with ethnically diverse populations.
- Good work ethic, a flexible and non-judgmental approach to people.
- Strong communication skills that include absorbing, sharing, and understanding information and communicating details (whether written or verbal) in multiple outlets.
- Computer literacy with iPads, Google apps and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ability to contribute to a positive organizational culture.
- An educational/instructional background.
- Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, or Somali language.
- Business and/or entrepreneurial experience.
