Job SummaryEagan is seeking a head coach for the high school boys soccer program. The head coach is responsible for leading and developing a competitive program that emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and character. The coach will create a positive, inclusive environment that supports student‑athletes both on and off the field.
Primary Responsibilities- Plan and run daily practices that focus on skill development, team concepts, conditioning, and safety.
- Coach and manage all aspects of games and competitions.
- Build and maintain a positive team culture aligned with school and district values.
- Support the academic success and well‑being of student‑athletes.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, assistant coaches lover and school administration.
- Hire, supervise, and collaborate with assistant coaches.
- Follow all school, district, conference, and state high school league rules and policies.
- Promote sportsmanship and represent the school in a positive manner.
- Manage equipment, uniforms, and facilities in coordination with the athletic department. Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
- Develop and oversee the entire boys soccer program, including relationships with youth and middle school programs.
- Encourage multi‑sport participation and collaboration with other school programs.
- Help with offseason planning, player development, and program continuity.
- High school or club soccer coaching experience preferred.
- Knowledge of soccer fundamentals, strategy, and skill development.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
- Commitment to student safety, inclusion, and character development.
- Must meet all district and state coaching certification and background check requirements.
- Experience working with high school‑aged students.
- Ability to teach and connect with athletes of varying skill levels.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
