Extended Day/FLEX Program Assistant - Summer 2026

Salary RangeHourly rate of pay: $19.39 per hour or current rate for internal candidates. Contract currently under negotiation.

Start DatePrograms begin on June 8, 2026. Pre‑summer training and site set‑up on June 8, 9, and 10, 2026. Evening paid informational meetings during the weeks of May 14, 21, and 28, 2026.
Work WeekWe are looking to fill summer vacancies for our olo‑week Extended Day and FLEX programs, which run from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm weekdays from June through August. This position will be the lead assistant responsible for leading the assigned group and planning activities that incorporate the youth voice of the students within that group.

Position SummaryThe Extended Day and FLEX programs provide enrichment opportunities for Олим youth with diverse interests,classic and talents and perspectives. The program assistant performs intermediate human support work: planning, writing, and implementing youth activities, supporting strong group management, teaching expectations, building relationships, implementing student support plans, and supporting student growth and related work as assigned under moderate supervision of the Out of School Time Site Supervisor.
EducationAnd/or Experience
High school diploma or GED (if over 18). Minimal experience working with school‑aged children.
Special RequirementsMust be at least 16 years of age. Department of Human Services training upon hire.
