OVERVIEW

The School of Nursing at the University of St. Thomas is seeking adjunct instructors of nursing for upcoming semesters. These positions are part of a pooled, adjunct faculty recruitment process, with reviews typically conducted twice annually—spring/summer and late fall/winter. The teaching responsibilities generally include clinical instruction and may also encompass theory instruction, depending on program needs and enrollment. Opportunities may be available in our BSN and pre-licensure MSN programs, which focus on coursework preparing students for entry into professional Registered Nurse practice.

This posting is for a pooled, adjunct instructor position for ongoing recruitment. Candidate review occurs three times annually—spring, summer, and fall.

Salary Range: $6,200 per course for the  academic year.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must possess a graduate degree (master’s and/or doctoral, such as PhD, DNP, or EdD) from a regionally or nationally accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or equivalent organizations. If the degree is not in nursing, applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree with a major in nursing. Candidates should have at least three years of relevant experience and hold an unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license with current registration in Minnesota.

Expertise should align with current course needs, including community/public health, psychiatric/mental health, acute care, maternal/child, and/or pediatric nursing. Prior nursing education and precepting experience, as well as familiarity with learning management systems, are preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience and educational background.
