PositionSummary
The adjunct faculty position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction for assigned courses and supporting the institution’s mission and strategic goals. Teaching assignments are offered on an as-needed basis, depending on class size and semester availability. This role requires in-person active engagement in the classroom, timely communication, and completion of assigned teaching training modules.
This is an onsite position in Minnesota.

3075 “Sports Leadership,” 2 credits, Quad 4, March 16–May 14, 2026
- Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the institution’s mission and strategic goals.
- Maintain a consistent, active and positive presence in the classroom, facilitating course content and engaging with students.
- Monitor and participate in class discussions to promote interaction and learning.
- Respond promptly to student inquiries and concerns, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Grade assignments and provide feedback in a timely manner; complete required teaching training modules.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

QualificationsRequired:
- Master’s degree in the discipline or related field or significant relevant professional experience.
- Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community.

- Independent & Teamwork:
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision. - Confidentiality:
Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately. - Organizational
Skills:
Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail. - Technical Proficiency:
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software. - Written & Verbal Communication:
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills. - Flexibility:
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed. - Background Check:
Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.
