Overview
The Department of Radiology of the University of Minnesota Medical School seeks a full-time radiologist. Primary job duties will include interpreting diagnostic imaging in the chest, abdomen, and pelvis at a qua ternary care center which serves both inpatients and outpatients. Completion of a fellowship specializing in abdominal or chest imaging is strongly preferred. A desire to provide high quality clinical care is the chief requirement.
Both clinically focused and academic track applicants will be considered. Academic rank, compensation and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging in the chest, abdomen, and pelvis at a qua ternary care center serving both inpatients and outpatients.
- Contribute to clinical care and academic activities as appropriate to the chosen track.
- MD or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota, and board certified or board eligible status.
- Completion of ACGME-accredited radiology training.
- For academic track applicants, evidence of scholarship in research or education is needed.
- Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty or research expertise; active involvement in national organizations and fostering an academic environment for medical students, residents, and faculty.
This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota begins at $55,000 and is dependent upon academic effort; clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Time appointment is 100% and position type is Faculty.
