Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) has opportunities for psychiatrists to join our team to provide quality care as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. Our psychiatrists work with individuals who have been admitted to our programs from different referral sources—jails, hospitals, and community settings—to provide treatment alongside psychiatric and primary care practitioners, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other mental health professionals.

Minimum Qualifications

Positions are open to experienced psychiatrists as well as graduating fellows.

  • Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice Medicine in the State of Minnesota
  • Board Certified Psychiatrist (or board eligible)
  • Completion of a fellowship program preferably in Forensic Psychiatry; other sub‑specialties considered
  • Completion of a fellowship program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (required for Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Adult inpatient psychiatry experience
  • Experience working in an inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric setting
  • Leadership and supervisory experience
  • Interest in Severe and Persistent Mental Illnesses (SPMIs) Psychiatry
  • Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and experience working with diverse populations
