Pope Design Group is seeking a passionate and ambitious Interior Designer Intern that seeks to make a positive and impactful difference in our community through the spaces we create. We are a multi-disciplinary firm comprised of creative architects and interior designers, partnering with clients across the country. In this supporting position you will be working closely with senior interior designers, along with an integrated team of design professionals developing design concepts into high quality documents for our clients.

This position will provide you an opportunity to collaborate with other professionals, gain valuable experience, utilize your creativity, and develop the skills for a successful career while working on a variety of project types of various sizes and complexity. Team members can react positively to a variety of design priorities, styles, and project delivery methods.

• Support interior designers with development and documentation of design solutions. Aids in the selection of interior finishes.
• Maintains our interior design resource library and communicates with product representatives.
• Interns work under close supervision with our design team, collaborating on a variety of projects and assisting with the preparation of design presentations, including material boards and renderings.
• Perform routine and limited interior design assignments.
• Uses the company’s established techniques, procedures, and equipment to prepare project documents.
• To maximize your learning potential, you will be present in the office 5 days a week to support a successful internship.

• The design team works to develop a positive relationship of trust with our clients and foster a commitment to external and internal client service.
• May work with team members to attend client/consultant meetings and visit job sites.

• Working toward a Professional Degree in Interior Design. Ideally looking for 3rd year student or upper level. Prior internship experience is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Works well both independently and in a team setting.
• Build knowledge of Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite and Rendering software a plus. Must be proficient in Revit.
• Ability to take on additional responsibilities and manage priorities with guidance.
• Open to constructive feedback and implements feedback into resolutions.
• Committed to learning about the field of interior design and incorporating the knowledge into day-to-day business practices.

The salary range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour for a Summer Internship. Salary may be impacted by candidate's previous internship experiences, education, Revit experience and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of an offer. Pope’s 401K and profit-sharing plan participation begins on the first entry date following three full months of employment. For every 30 hours of time worked you will accrue 1 hour of eligible paid PTO/Sick time, (up to a maximum of 48 hours in a calendar year).
