About the RoleJoin a passionate early childhood education team at the Wilder Child Development Center in making a positive impact on families through a whole family focus. At Wilder we are proud to be a Head Start co‑education site, NAEYC‑accredited, and hold a 4‑star Parent Aware rating, ensuring our commitment to excellence. As a valued team member, you will actively engage in caring for children ages 16 months to 5 years using best practices, create a safe and positive environment, and interact to promote development.
You will also assist in planning activities that support children’s learning and growth. Support the Lead Teacher by observing children’s behavior to identify developmental needs, potential abuse or neglect, and cognitive or social delays. Assist in documenting assessment outcomes. Maintain compliance with DHS Rule 3, NAEYC, Head Start, certification, and safety standards and procedures.
- Early childhood coursework, CDA or Associates degree preferred; HS diploma or GED required.
- Previous early childhood experience preferred.
- A commitment to working with children and families through a whole family approach.
- Willing to learn and be trained.
- CPR or First Aide certified preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to meet MN DHS Rule 3 teacher qualifications.
