• Compensation: Competitive hourly wage ($19-$22/hr)

As the Purchasing Intern
, you will:

• Participate in discussions with INFRA’s national distributor to learn how grocery supply chain, purchasing programs, and promotions support independent retailers
• Help organize and review purchasing and promotional data to identify trends that impact store performance
• Support INFRA’s category management team during yearly promotional planning for independent grocery stores
• Support coordination of natural food industry brands at INFRA’s annual buying event

• Ideal for current employees of natural food stores, co-ops, or grocery retailers who are interested in deepening their knowledge of purchasing, category management, or supply chain operations.
  Preference given to candidates with buying experience.
• Students in business, supply chain management, operations management, economics, or finance are also encouraged to apply
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working with Excel or other data tools
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Excited to work for a purpose-driven organization that supports independent business and the good food industry.
