Field Service Engineer - $12,000 Signing Bonus
Delkor Systems invites a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to drive equipment reliability, maximize plant efficiencies, and support our growing customer base.
Essential Functions- Install, configure, and commission new equipment and conversions with minimal supervision.
- Perform mechanical and electrical re‑assembly, testing, and troubleshooting during production runs.
- Document and report service activities, including exit interviews and follow‑up with customers.
- Provide preventive maintenance, audits, and optimization support to customers.
- Lead checkout of equipment, download and troubleshoot programs, and verify final product meets design expectations.
- Assist with machine assembly and assembly floor organization.
- Report safety or quality concerns and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
- Resolve issues over the telephone and perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Two‑year degree in Automated Systems, Robotics, or related field.
- Two or more years of field service experience (Field Service Engineer I or 3 years of prior field work).
- Fundamental understanding of assembly and checkout of packaging equipment.
- Proficiency with pneumatic, electrical, and hand tools.
Skills And Abilities
- Deep knowledge of electrical principles, Ohm’s law, and troubleshooting.
- Programming skills in RSLogix 500/5000, Panel View Plus HMI, and PLC/HMI componentry.
- Ability to read and analyze machine drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem‑solving for mechanical, electrical, and programming issues.
- Competent with standard office software (Office 365 Excel, PowerPoint).
- Clear verbal and written communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Collaborative approach working across departments.
- Proactive problem resolution and positive team contributions.
- Self‑motivated, independent, and accurate with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Positive workplace environment under challenging situations.
- Detail oriented and quality focused.
- Stand/walk throughout the day.
- Lift up to 75 lbs with assistance; 40 lbs regularly.
- Reach, bend, climb, crawl, kneel, and extend arms and legs for assembly tasks.
- Effective verbal communication on the telephone.
- 70% remote customer facilities (factory floor exposure to tools, dust, chemicals, temperature, noise).
- 20% Delkor assembly floor, 10% office setting.
- Travel may occur on short notice.
- General office equipment (computer, printer, telephone).
- Valid driver’s license and passport without travel restrictions.
- $35.00 – $45.00 per hour, based on experience and performance.
