Job Purpose/
Summary:
The Admissions Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact for prospective students and, as such, must be a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable outward-facing presence. The Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of application processing and completion. The Coordinator will also support the Admissions department by ensuring an efficient operation of departmental functions: respond to and assist all prospective and incoming students through email, phone, and walk-ins;
schedule meetings; prepare materials; perform budget-related activities; and assist the Vice President, Enrollment with administrative tasks.
- Serve as initial point of contact for the Admissions department:
- Greet visitors to Admissions Office.
- Answer phone calls and respond to voicemails and emails in a timely fashion.
- Track phone and email correspondence.
- Counsel prospective and admitted students with routine questions and requests, particularly as they relate to application materials and process.
- Schedule individual counseling appointments for other Admissions staff members; coordinate campus tours, class visits, financial aid meetings.
- Provide campus tours as necessary.
- Help coordinate group visits.
- Generate letters, emails, and information packets in response to requests for information.
- Coordinate the application processes for the Admissions department:
- Create and maintain electronic student records.
- Manage electronic application process and application completion.
- Prepare application files for Admissions and faculty review.
- Administer CAS report fee waivers.
- Plan, coordinate, and assist in the annual movement of application materials from the Admissions database to a network drive for use by Student Services.
- Ensure an efficient operation of departmental programs and functions, including:
- Administrative: book travel, reconcile expense accounts, track and update budgets, submit expense reports and check requests, take minutes, prepare mailings, assist Vice President, Enrollment with administrative tasks.
- Work closely with the Fellows Director to track and communicate with fellows admits.
- Help coordinate logistics associated with all on- and off-campus recruiting events as needed, including Admitted Student Day and information sessions.
- Create and maintain electronic event records.
- Oversee the printing and inventory of all admissions materials.
- Order and maintain inventory of all give-away items.

- Bachelor's degree required
- One year of customer-facing administrative experience, strongly related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Candidates must show proficiency in MS Office applications and other office technologies
- Higher education experience preferred
- Two to three years' professional experience preferred
The estimated compensation range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00 per hour.
