Overview

The Receptionist/Admin Clerk at Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital serves as the primary point of contact for staff, visitors, and incoming patients. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional first impression by greeting all individuals warmly and assisting them promptly. In addition, the position performs a variety of general clerical and administrative duties to support daily operations and ensure an efficient, organized front office environment.

This is a part-time position, approx. 30 hours/week, with the following hours: 3p-7:30p Wednesday-Friday and 9:30a-6pm Saturday-Sunday.

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for handling front office reception and general administrative duties.
  • Serves visitors, vendors and other outside guests by greeting, welcoming and directing them appropriately.
  • Notify facility personnel of visitor’s arrival.
  • Maintain security by following established procedures including monitoring guest logbook and issuing visitor badges, if required.
  • Keep track of inventory and work with supply vendors to ensure a well-stocked office.
  • Answer and transfer telephone calls or take messages.
  • Handle facility inquiries and provide general information.
  • Sort and deliver incoming mail and send outgoing mail.
  • Copy, file and update paper and electronic documents.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
