The front office administrator reports to the bishop and works with and supports other synod staff. This position is a short-term, hourly position, without benefits, during twelve weeks of a parental leave. It is anticipated the work week will be 18 hours over Monday-Thursday.
- Answers the phone, provides access to the office, and maintains a hospitable environment for guests and synod staff.
- Receives and sorts daily mail for all offices in the building.
- Maintains an efficient office by ordering supplies and maintaining good order in the public spaces and staff workroom.
- Manages the office conference room calendar.
- Supports synod staff in communications with congregations of the synod and maintenance of congregation records.
- Supports synod staff in planning and preparation for programs and events (site planning, preparation of materials, communication with vendors and participants, coordination of event logistics).
