Accounting Specialist

Description

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our client's team on a long-term contract basis in Arden Hills, Minnesota. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with experience in financial operations, including billing and accounts receivable. You will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and efficient accounting processes while collaborating with internal teams to maintain financial integrity.

Responsibilities:

- Process billing transactions, including subscription or recurring billing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

- Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing, payment tracking, and customer communication.

- Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records and resolve discrepancies.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel to create formulas, perform lookups, and generate pivot tables for data analysis and reporting.

- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to address inquiries and provide timely resolution of accounting issues.

- Maintain organized financial records and follow established processes to meet deadlines.

- Support basic accounting operations, such as journal entries and financial statement preparation.

- Leverage accounting software, such as Quick Books Online, to manage financial data effectively.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting activities.

- Assist with additional accounting functions as needed to support team objectives.

Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and VLOOKUP functions.

- Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- At least 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related financial operations roles.

- Familiarity with account reconciliations and basic accounting principles.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.

- Experience with Quick Books Online or similar accounting systems is a plus.

- Ability to work collaboratively and follow established processes with precision.
