Senior Accounting Manager – Government Contracting

Location: St. Paul, MN |
Salary: $145,000 – $170,000 + Equity

Why this role? We have partnered with a premier manufacturer in St. Paul currently transitioning to full-scale commercial production. We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager with deep expertise in Government Contracting (FAR/CAS) to build and lead their federal compliance function. This is a high-visibility, "founding" accounting role with significant stock options
.

• Technical Compliance: Lead all accounting activities under FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards).
• Audit Readiness: Serve as the primary point of contact for DCAA and DCMA audits.
• Financial Oversight: Manage the month-end close, GL, and revenue recognition for federal contracts.
• ERP Management: Utilize and optimize government-compliant ERP systems (e.g.,
  Microsoft Dynamics 365
  ).
• Leadership: Manage and mentor a growing accounting team.

• 7+ years of accounting experience with a focus on Government Contracts
  .
• CPA, pursuing CPA or willing to reactivate highly preferred
• Mastery of US GAAP
  , FAR
  , and CAS
  .
• Experience with indirect rate management and incurred cost submissions.
