We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. This role involves managing comprehensive bookkeeping tasks, overseeing payroll processes, and supporting financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, experienced in Quick Books, and has a background in construction accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using Quick Books, with a preference for candidates familiar with construction industry practices.
- Process payroll for union construction employees, including certified payroll reporting and tracking union benefits.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure financial accuracy.
- Handle accounts payable by managing vendor invoices, coding job costs, and processing payments.
- Oversee accounts receivable by preparing customer invoices, monitoring collections, and tracking payments.
- Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
- Monitor job costs and assist with project-specific financial reporting.
- Manage daily office operations, including administrative systems and organizational workflows.
- Maintain both digital and physical filing systems to ensure easy access to records.
- Oversee HR functions such as onboarding paperwork, employee records, and benefits administration.
Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping, including proficiency in Quick Books.
- Familiarity with construction accounting and union payroll processes.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Ability to reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Experience with AIA billing and certified payroll reporting is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and team members.
- Ability to manage office operations and administrative tasks effectively.
