Tax Preparer

Job Description

Harrington Langer & Associates is looking to hire a seasonal Tax Preparer for the upcoming tax season (now through mid-April).

Because Harrington Langer & Associates continues to grow, we are looking to hire a seasonal tax preparer to join our team with 3-5 years of previous experience.

Work Activities and Responsibilities:

· Enter client data into tax prep software

· Prepare business and individual tax returns in accordance with firm policies and applicable regulations

· Perform tax research where appropriate

· Provide basic accounting services as needed

· Other duties may be assigned in relation to accounting or tax work

Minimum Required Experience, Education, and

Certifications:

· 2 or 4-year accounting degree or equivalent experience

· 3-5 years of tax return preparation preferred

· Understanding of basic accounting concepts involved in tax return preparation

· Previous experience with public accounting preferred

· Solid analytical skills

· High level of written and oral communication skills

· Exceptional client service skills

· Excellent ability to handle pressure in a positive and professional manner while completing assignments in a timely manner
