Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in Kentucky, requiring a compact RN license, advanced certifications, and the ability to pass a dysrhythmia test.
Responsibilities- Position is in an Emergency Department (ED) setting
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4
- Night shifts: three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–7:00)
- Travelers may be required to float to different units
- Uses Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience required
- Candidates are required to work during spring break, Easter, and Derby
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Travelers must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Candidates must schedule and complete required labs within specified timelines after signing
- Annual and initial education modules are required as part of orientation and continuing competency
- Must wait 2 years after prior employment before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Active KY or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- TNCC certification is preferred
- Must successfully pass an advanced dysrhythmia (EKG) competency exam
- Must submit two references for consideration
