Class A Driver Hazmat Endorsements

CK is looking to hire Class A CDL Delivery Drivers for local delivery to customer sites.
This route is local and will allow the driver to return home every evening! The Delivery Driver is responsible for the correct, timely and safe delivery of products to CK production facilities and to customer locations. This individual represents the company in a professional manner while interacting with customers on product, delivery, pricing or other business related needs.

• Shuttle product from St. Louis to Kansas City at least twice a week.
• Shuttle product from St. Louis to Columbia Missouri at least once a week.
• Run tube trailer shuttle when time allows. Helium tube trailer goes from St. Louis to Chicago roughly every 6 weeks.
• Hydrogen tube trailers to local customers in St. Louis area.

• Deliver products to customers while abiding by load safety, DOT, and general safe driving guidelines as well as CK standard operating procedures.
• Exhibit a courteous and professional image to others at all times.
• Complete daily electronic trip reports and shipping papers concerning deliveries.
• Maintain the proper cleanliness of assigned vehicles and carefully review pre and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Communicate repair needs and issues to the Fleet Manager.
• Load and unload cylinders/product supplies from the delivery vehicle.
• Ensure all required cylinders are bar coded properly.
• Conform to uniform and safety equipment policies.
• Communicate with customers and relay pertinent information back to the manager.
• Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and requirements including proper personal protective equipment for employees and visitors.
• Adhere to the CK Core Values through behavior and words.
• Other duties, as assigned, within the job classification and business.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have a current Class B CDL, Class A Preferred.
• A HAZMAT endorsement is required (or ability to obtain).
• A Tanker Endorsement is preferred.
• Must have a good driving record exhibited by state MVR reports.
• Must have a current DOT medical card, and the ability to pass all DOT requirements.
• Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.
• Capable of completing basic mathematical calculations and entering correct information on logs and other reports.
• Vision is correctable to within normal range for vehicle driving and completion of records.
• The ability to move or lift products and materials of varied sizes and weights up to 50lbs without assistance.
• Capable of working in diverse and often times unpleasant weather conditions.
• Ability to drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to sit, bend, stoop, lift, climb and stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
• Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks, as well as with a team to ensure the success of the department.

• Possession or ability to obtain a DOT medical card
• Ability to lift, roll and move cylinders up to 75 pounds

The following is a list of some of the types of equipment that an employee in this position may be required to operate. This list is not all-inclusive.

• Company truck and lift gate
• Forklift
• Hand cart
• Bar coding scanner
• Various hand tools

All proper safety equipment must be worn according to company policies and regulations including safety glasses, safety boots, and ear protection.
